About Ultimate Dinosaurs:

Featuring giant full-scale skeletons, Ultimate Dinosaursintroduces visitors to new and unique dinosaurs from around the Southern Hemisphere. This blockbuster exhibition combines rarely-seen creatures with interactive stations that highlight the scientific study of fossils. It also includes examples of augmented reality technology, transforming the huge dinosaur skeletons into flesh-covered moving creatures right before your eyes! Ultimate Dinosaurs examines the break-up of super continent Pangaea into the continents that we know today and illustrates how plate tectonics and changing continents affected the evolution of dinosaurs.

About the Museum Galleries:

The Museum's collections reflect the heritage of Manitoba and other regions of the world. Our nine interpretive galleries explore the interrelationship of people and their environment. Travel through millions of years as you journey from north to south across Manitoba's vast and varied landscape, from the icy arctic coast to the windswept prairies. The Museum is noted for its three-dimensional walk-through galleries. Highlights include the Nonsuch, a full-size 17th-century sailing vessel, and the Winnipeg Gallery, which takes you back in time to Winnipeg during the 1920s.

Please Note: Some high touch/interactive displays remain temporarily unavailable throughout the Museum Galleries due to COVID-19 precautions.

About the Science Gallery:

Test the universal laws of science and explore the wonders of technology and illusion in the Manitoba Museum s Science Gallery. Learn about yourself and the world around you through entertaining hands-on activities where you become the scientist. Each exhibit offers operating instructions (what to do) and a short explanation of the science at work (what's going on). The Science Gallery contains a mix of newer exhibits and old favorites. The Matrix mirror room is still there, as well as lots of exhibits that cover the basics of science, including the Engineered for Speed race track, Lake Winnipeg: Shared Solutions simulator and stream table, and Cosmos Corner with a full-sized Black Brant Rocket made right here in Manitoba!

Please Note: Some high touch/interactive displays remain temporarily unavailable or limited in capacity and operation throughout the Science Gallery due to COVID-19 precautions.
