Now & Then: A Journey in Time is a program that encourages people living with early to moderate symptoms of dementia and their care partners to explore the Manitoba Museum's many collections.

During four lively sessions led by a Museum Learning Facilitator, participants will explore old memories and create new ones through objects, activities, and stimulating discussions. Each session highlights one of the Museum's distinct galleries.

The Shoe Project

The Shoe Project features personal stories written and performed by newcomer women living in Winnipeg. Working with Writing Mentor Patlee Creary, an immigrant to Canada herself, The Shoe Project collaborates with a Steering Committee of 13 local organizations in Winnipeg.

Learn how to make your own pair of hand-crafted traditional moccasins in our upcoming workshop with artist Cynthia Boehm. Taking place over three sessions, the workshop will include a visit behind-the-scenes into the Museum vaults with Dr. Amelia Fay, Curator of the HBC Museum Collection. All materials are provided.
