Now & Then: A Journey in Time is a program that encourages people living with early to moderate symptoms of dementia and their care partners to explore the Manitoba Museum's many collections.

During four lively sessions led by a Museum Learning Facilitator, participants will explore old memories and create new ones through objects, activities, and stimulating discussions. Each session highlights one of the Museum's distinct galleries.

The Shoe Project

The Shoe Project

The Shoe Project features personal stories written and performed by newcomer women living in Winnipeg. Working with Writing Mentor Patlee Creary, an immigrant to Canada herself, the women wrote their story of their journey to Canada.  They then worked with Performance Coach Rachel E. Smith to prepare for sharing their story publicly.  The Shoe Project collaborates with a Steering Committee of 12 local organizations in Winnipeg.
