Spring Break @ the Manitoba Museum runs from March 25 to April 2, 10 am - 5 pm daily.

Admission includes entry into the Museum Galleries, the Science Gallery, and timed entry into a Planetarium show of your selection.

Admission includes entry into the Museum Galleries: Travel through millions of years as you journey from north to south across Manitoba's vast and varied landscape, from the icy arctic coast to the windswept prairies. Our nine interpretive galleries explore the interrelationship of people and their environment.

Admission includes one-time entry into the Planetarium show, Beyond the Sun.

While CELESTE is fighting off sleep in her room by reading a book on astronomy she receives an unexpected visit from MOON.

Together, they will enjoy a journey through the Universe to discover what exoplanets are and how they can be detected.

They observe rogue planets, oceanic worlds and super-Earths. Moon tells her about exoplanet hunters, who observe the sky in search of planets like Earth.

Many adventures are yet to come. But first she needs some rest. Celeste drops off to sleep waiting for the next visit of Moon.

Explore, takes audiences to Mars, with stops throughout history to discover the knowledge needed to voyage to other worlds. From the first skywatchers trying to understand the motions of the heavens, to the future generation of explorers who will travel to Mars, Explore follows humanity's drive to explore our universe.

Admission includes one-time entry into the Planetarium show, Legends of the Northern Sky. For thousands of years, humanity has gazed at the stars in a search for understanding, truth, and insight. The Indigenous people of North America connected with the sky in fundamental ways. In Legends of the Northern Sky, we learn a little bit more about the spirit that connects us all.

Premiering March 22 and running throughout Spring Break is our newest Planetarium show, Enchanted Reef! When their home reef is destroyed by a fishing trawler, three brave fish set out on a quest across the polluted ocean to find the  Enchanted Reef    a legendary pristine haven under the sea. Full of humor and imagination, this film for the whole family is an undersea adventure that raises awareness about the impact of pollution on our oceans. 

Admission includes entry into the Science Gallery: Test the universal laws of science and explore the wonders of technology and illusion in the Manitoba Museum's Science Gallery.

Open to youth ages 10-17 with one accompanying adult

Participants will learn how to design 3D models using basic shapes and transform them into 3D printed models. Using a free online designing tool, participants will design a set of constellations and a toy car which they will then be able to use in the science gallery on a future date.
